'Securing' Euro 2016: French cops take on armed gunmen in anti-terror drill

Armed policemen from the anti-terror unit conducted a mock drill at the fan zone in Lyon last night as part of security measures for the upcoming Euro 2016 football championship.

The drill included a suicide bomb attack and armed attack by gunmen followed by the response of the special security forces to secure the venue.

The emergency response teams were also in action as they treated the people who played the part critically injured victims.

The French security forces are leaving no stone unturned in a bid to ensure safety of the traveling fans to Euro 2016, amid the heightened threat by Islamic terrorists.
