Euro 2016: Slovakia look to bounce back vs Russia

Lille (France): Slovakia coach Jan Kozak is looking for his team to get back on track at Euro 2016 following their opening defeat to Wales when they face Russia today.

The Slovaks come into their second Group B encounter in need of a positive result after conceding late to lose 2-1 to Wales.

“That defeat was an unnecessary one. Welsh were not better, they just capitalised on our mistakes,” said Kozak.

“But there are defeats like that in football. We have to pick ourselves up fast. We have an experienced team and the players are aware they made some mistakes and that we now have a match against Russia where we can show how strong we are.”
