Europa League: A list of statistics, trivia and records

Spanish club Sevilla and English club Liverpool face each other in the final for the Europa League 2015-16 title. As they battle it out today at St. Jakob-Park in Basel, we give you some interesting facts and trivia of the final Europe's secondary club tourney over the years.

>> Sevilla have won the Europa League 4 times, the most by any team. (2006, 2007, 2014, 2015).

>> Liverpool have won it thrice, a joint second place along with Juventus and Internazionale.

>> Atletico Madrid hold the record for most consecutive wins with 16 in total (home and away).

>> IFK Goteborg, Tottenham Hotspur, Galatasaray, Borussia Mönchengladbach Ajax and Feyenoord are the only teams to win the title staying undefeated. Goteborg won it twice in this fashion.

>> Henrik Larsson of Sweden is the leading scorer in Europa League with 31 goals to his name.

>> Radamel Falcao of Colombia has scored the most goals in a single season - 17.

>> Giuseppe Bergomi of Italy has made the most appearances in the Europa League - 96 games.

>> Ajax has the record for the highest win by margin of goals. They defeated Red Boys Differdange 14-0 during the 1984–85 season.
