Even the best Italian menu needs a makeover too

Viva, it's a nuovo Italian menu for all those who love their risottos and pastas. Tucked awayu00a0 inside The Park hotel, here's another reason now to soak in some more Italian delights from chef Rajiv Vimal's kitchen.

The new dishes on the menu include the Buffalo Mozzarella and Tomato Salad. The dish is enhanced with basil oil and is very subtle on flavours, though the buffalo mozzarella seems a tad grainy, owing to the buffalo milk.

Follow your salad with their new Soup with Tiger Shrimp and Zucchini, which has an overpowering zucchini and pumpkin flavour and the stingy sprinkling of salt is recouped with the chili oil seasoning lending it a unique colour and flavour.

To whet your appetite further, move on to the main course with the new Barley risotto on the menu, a first ever with barley as the risotto base with fresh spinach and mascarpone cheese.

Though the idea of barley seemed very healthy, it was a tad tough on the bite, unlike the usual risotto rice one is used to.

The exotic new desserts on the menu include the Hazelnut Pavlova with fruit and orange sauce and the Blackberry Parfait to spoil you silly. Also, if you like mushrooms, head to the restaurant's Mushroom Magic Fest,u00a0 on till November 28.
