Former England footballer Rio Ferdinand's girlfriend Kate Wright vowed to lose weight after skipping her workout sessions to go on food treats with her beau. Wright jetted off to Portugal last week to spend quality time with Ferdinand and his family.

Wright, a former The Only Way Is Essex television star, posted a picture on Instagram yesterday, bemoaning her lack of physical activity. She wrote: "It's been a busy summer with lots of food, wine & no exercise..... time to get back on it properly."
Despite ruing her physique, Wright managed to woo her fans. Many of them were quick to reassure she had a hot figure. One user wrote: "Looks like you spent all summer in the gym."

Wright and Ferdinand, who have been dating since January this year, made their relationship official when the England legend shared a family holiday picture of him and Wright. In July, Kate also met Rio's three children Lorenz, 11, Tate, nine and Tia, six.
