Rio de Janeiro: Former FIFA president Joao Havelange, who spent more than two decades in charge of world football, was discharged from a Rio hospital on Saturday after being treated for respiratory problems.
Hospital Samaritano said 99-year-old Havelange was released at noon. It did not say when he was first admitted nor give any other details.
