A string of exciting clashes determined the four semi-finalists of Avighna India Ltd's MiD DAY Corporate Cricket Tournament, as the fun continued with competition's nail biting quarterfinals played at Bhavan's College Ground, Andheri on Sunday.

However, when the game started, it got the quarterfinals round off to a flyer as the two teams played out an exciting game.

Shinrai Toyota gave Future Group a run for their money but eventually fell short by 12 runs to bow out of the tournament.

Batting first, Future Group piled up 108 for 8 in their ten overs with Deepak leading the charge from the front.
He smashed 30 off 16 deliveries as his team was able to put up a match winning total.

In another thriller, Intelenet scored the winning runs off the final ball of the match as they ousted WNS Global Services to win the match by four wickets.

Needing 97 for victory, the lower order of Intelenet managed to snatch the match away as they scored nine in the final over to still remain in contention for the trophy.

Another game whose outcome was decided off the final ball was played between Diebold System Pvt Ltd and Larsen and Toubro Infotech as it was the latter that sneaked home victorious.

Vinayak powered L&T Infotech with his knock of 31 as they tracked down 80 to seal a semi-final berth.

In the final game of the weekend fixture, Dainik Bhaskar eased past Edelweiss capital to book a place in the last four. Opting to bowl first, Dainik Bhaskar and their bowler Narayan in particular did extremely well to deny their opponents from posting a huge score as Edelweiss Capital were restricted to 74 in 10 overs. Narayan was adjudged as the best bowler for his effort of three for 20.
