An OLA cab driver's failure to decide whether to take the flyover or the road, led him to crashing his speeding car into a divider on the Kherwadi flyover early this morning. The incident took place when Ola cab driver Manoj Kumar was heading to Bandra from Andheri with a family of three, including a five-year-old. No serious injuries were reported in the incident.
According to the police, around 4.50 am, Kumar was driving the Khan family towards Bandra, when his car crashed into the divider at the mouth of the Kherwadi bridge. The driver and passengers sustained minor injuries. Instead of creating a ruckus, passenger Mehmood Khan and his wife and daughter hailed another cab and left the spot.
Sunil Chavan, a passerby, said, "I was going to Khar, when I noticed the car had rammed into the divider. I saw the driver of the car faint on stepping out. We immediately picked him up. The windshield of the car had cracked and it looked like the driver had hit his head on it. After the cops reached the spot, the passengers left the spot."
When contacted, a police official said, "The driver wasn't able to decide whether to take the flyover or the road beneath, which led to the crash."
