The actor-director is being pursued by several institutions to speak, sing or recite poetry to their students

Farhan Akhtar is the man of the moment.
A youth icon of sorts ever since Dil Chahta Hai caught the imagination of the country's youngsters; several educational institutions are apparently pursuing the actor to visit their campuses.

A source reveals, "From IIT Kanpur and IIM Ahmedabad to other prestigious engineering, management and even medical colleges, all want Farhan to visit their campuses.

While some want him to talk to them about cinema, others want the multi-talented star to give a lecture on any topic of his choice. And many would even like for him to perform at their college festivals."

Deeper connect
Interestingly, IIT Kharagpur conducted a poll before calling the star at their cultural festival. "They had a poll asking the students to name which star they'd like to have come over.

Farhan won the maximum votes as a majority of students expressed their connect with him and his movies," says the source.

Students of Symbiosis Management Institute in Pune are also keen that the filmmaker recites some poetry, apart from speaking about life and education in general.
"The letter from Symbiosis said that the students are his die-hard fans and insisted that he also recite some poetry, besides giving a lecture," reveals our source.

Farhan confirms being flooded with invites from institutions across the country.

"My team has received a lot of requests from different engineering, management and medical institutions across India," was all the director of the forthcoming Don 2 was willing to say, declining to go into details about how he'd try to fulfill them all.
