Not willing to sit back and be a mere spectator, the actor-director has formed a group Men Against Rape and Discrimination. He feels people should respect women and it should naturally come to them.
Farhan also feels that the coming generation should have this attitude of non discrimination against women in their DNAs. He believes that a change in law cannot alone curb the increasing crimes against women as there has to be a change in the mindsets of the society at large. Farhan says, “The biggest sickness in society is the attitude towards women, MARD aspires to do change that.”
The actor has also been talking about his cause on his micro-blogging site. To spread awareness about his cause, he has come up with a line of merchandise including T-shirts and has been sporting. He is keen to distribute them among youngsters to further the cause.”
