The third edition of the Worli Festival 2016 was a great success. The three-day festival was filled with music performances, food stalls, shopping and more. Mumbai truly lived up to the city’s spirit of ‘Celebrate Life’. The Worli Festival 2016 received a phenomenal response of over two lakh people, which kept the Worli Sea Face Promenade and Mahalaxmi Race Course (RWITC) abuzz over the weekend.
Shree Sankalp Prathisthan and OMCPL were proud presenters of the festival that witnessed Aditi Singh Sharma, Shibani Kashyap, Tochi Raina, Kavita Seth, Rodney, Taufiq Qureshi, Vipin Aneja and many others enthrall audiences with their performances. The first of its kind EDM stage curated by Submerge set the mood to the city’s first Sundowner party on the Sea Face. Classical singer Devaki Pandit and holistic health guru Mickey Mehta were a breath of fresh air to the morning walkers at the Promenade.
A Band of Boys
While at RWITC, Indiva, Band of Boys, Harish Moyal and Charu Semwal, celebrity bartenders and many others entertained the audience. It was the city’s largest music, food and shopping festival and promises to get bigger next year from January 20-22, 2017. Sangeeta Ahir, founder of SSPL said, “We are thankful to the Worli Festival for bringing life and culture with the amazing performances over the weekend.”
Rahul Gomes, MD, OMCPL thanked supporters of the festival saying, “I am thankful to a lot of people who have supported and worked towards making this a success. I look forward to 2017 where I invite the citizens of Worli to co-create the festival with us.
