Johannesburg: Former US football official Chuck Blazer has been banned from all-football related activities for life on Thursday by FIFA over his involvement in corruption and bribery scandals.
FIFA said in a statement that Blazer committed many and various acts of misconduct continuously and repeatedly during his time as an official in different high-ranking and influential positions at FIFA and CONCACAF, Sport24 reported.
The 70-year-old worked undercover with US prosecutors in order to expose illegal practices at FIFA, after pleading guilty to charges of bribery, money laundering and tax evasion.
