Sao Paulo: The FIFA World Cup semifinal match between Argentina and the Netherlands went into extra time after both teams were tied 0-0 at the end of regular time at the Arena Corinthians here Wednesday.

Argentine star Lionel Messi and Dutch key players Arjen Robben and Robin van Persie were all kept in check by a well disciplined and organised defensive display for both teams.
