Belo Horizonte: It may have been one of the toughest nights for Dutch star Wesley Sneijder to overcome when he failed to convert the penalty during their semi-final clash against Argentina on Wednesday.

The second semi-final between the two heavyweight teams ended goalless in the regulation 90 minutes and 30 minutes of extra time. Hence, the result had to be decided via penalty shootout.

Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero was the hero of the match after he blocked shots from Ron Vlaar and Sneijder to take Argentina into the World Cup final after 4-2 win in the penalty shootout. Only Arjen Robben and Dirk Kyut found the net for the Netherlands.

However, his stunning wife Yolanthe Cabau was around to comfort Sneijder. She managed to bring back the smile on Sneijder's face as evident from a picture she posted on Instagram, embracing and hugging the Galatasaray playmaker a few hours after the defeat.

The super model and actress also posted several messages on the social networking website to show her support. "I love you, that means I'm not just here for the pretty parts. I'm here no matter what," read a message.

She also tagged her husband in one of the messages to cheer up Sneijder. "@sneijder10official I love you and I always will. Proud of you," she wrote.
