London: A Facebook post claiming that Uruguay striker Luis Suarez failed a “drug test” after Uruguay vs England match has fooled almost 650,000 users.

The report claimed the Luis Suarez had failed a drug test after the game against England


The fake report uploaded on the Sunday Times Daily - a fake news website - claimed that Suarez had failed a drug test and that Uruguay stood to lose their 3 points and face disqualification from the FIFA WC, the Mirror reported.


It was Suarez’s two goals that had helped Uruguay beat England 2-1 in their group encounter on June 19.

Another fake story, doing the rounds was that England would get a second chance at the football tournament after a referee was charged with match fixing offences.
