Filming gay intimate scenes new experience for Daniel Radcliffe
British actor Daniel Day-Lewis, known for his extreme mental and physical preparation for each of his films, says he focuses so much on every role because playing a new character is like a huge pleasure of discovery.
After appearing nude on stage in the play "Equus" at the age of 17, now "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe has filmed explicit sex scenes for upcoming movie - "Kill Your Darlings".
Radcliffe, 23, seems to be lapping up the attention that the sexually explicit scenes in his upcoming movie seem to be generating. Currently he is at the Sundance Film Festival promoting "Kill Your Darlings", an upcoming independent movie, reports radaronline.com.
"Films like this don't get made unless everyone involved loves them," the 23-year-old told an audience at Sundance when asked if he chose the role because it fits the "weird stuff" he likes.
Set in 1944, it is based on the true story and a murder involving beat poets Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg and William S. Burroughs.
The child star plays Ginsberg, who gets initiated into booze, drugs and gay sex. In one scene a man performs oral sex on Radcliffe's character while in a library.
The film is directed by John Krokidas.
