Bollywood actor, filmmaker and singer Farhan Akhtar has revealed his dream casting for his film 'Dil Chahta Hai'before he finalised the actors

Neha Dhupia's recent guest was Farhan Akhtar, who spoke on a lot of things. His iconic film 'Dil Chahta Hai' which is loved by people even today, was the topic of hot discussion. 


Farhan Akhtar, who directed the coming-of-age film spoke about the casting of the film. He revealed that Aamir Khan was not the first choice for the role of 'Akash'. "Akshaye Khanna was always the first choice. He was the first guy I ever met for that film. And I actually met him at that time because I wanted to cast him in the role that Aamir eventually played. So I spoke to him about the role that was Akash. I wanted him (Akshaye Khanna) to play Aakash. I wanted Hrithik Roshan as Sameer and I wanted Abhishek Bachchan as Sid. That was my ideal casting", says Farhan.


But the film nevertheless won a lot of hearts and is still watched by people all over.
