The viral image of Rs 50 note
According to a report in news24online, the Rs 20 is green in colour, and with the image of the famous Mumbai landmark, Gateway of India. The Rs 50 note, on the other hand is light magenta in colour, and is accompanied with the picture of Red Fort.

The report however added that the authenticity of the notes could not be verified while stating that the Rs 2,000 note image that went viral was the same that was later officially introduced.
Further, while the government has stated that the old Rs 50 and Rs 20 notes will continue to remain legal tender, there are rumours floating on social media that these old notes may be banned.
