Five bodies were recoverd from a river in Bhiwandi taluka this morning, police said.

Police Inspector S M Choudhary of Ganeshpuri police station said the bodies comprising a village woman and her four children were found floating in the Pundas village river near Kamvali around 8.45 am.u00a0

On information, a police team rushed and fished out the bodies with the help of locals.u00a0

The four died of drowning but it is still not known whether it is a case of accident or suicide.u00a0

The dead were immediately identified, police said.
