The girls behind Pop Att (short for POP Attitude, their Facebook page tells us), Rakhi Parekh and Khushboo Lahori have picked out desi charm motifs from the doorstep (remember the Shubh Labh stickers that are supposed to entice Goddess Laxmi into gracing your home) and put them onto neckpieces.
The Shubh Labh and Mini Jee designs made us do a double take when we first saw them at Sobo on Hughes Road. They were hanging from the same hook so, at first, we thought of it as a single neckpiece with three different pendents on the chains. But Charmi, the helpful store attendant, diffused our excitement by pointing out that they are, in fact, two seperate pieces.
Of course, you can club them together if you're feeling exceptionally blessed and very rich. The kitschy pieces are slightly expensive but you won't find just about everyone wearing the same design either.
