That Barcelona's superstar trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar are world class on the field is a known fact. But what are they like off it? Here's a little insight, though the source cannot be named as he's associated with one of the Barcelona groundstaff.

"Messi and Suarez are both rather shy guys. In fact, whenever Messi walks into the training ground or even casually here at the Camp Nou, he always has his head down. Suarez is rather shy too, but he will look up at least at who's around him. Neymar, though, is the bolder of the three. He's the one always smiling and interacting with people and readily posing for selfies or signing autographs," a source told mid-day here during a visit to the Camp Nou Stadium as part of the La Liga Santander Experience.

The South American trio are best of friends too, and our source gives us an example. "Messi suffered a cut to his face during the El Clasico recently and the whole team were concerned about him. Neymar wasn't on the ground as he was suspended. But we learnt that he immediately called to check on Messi and obviously, wished him for the brilliant winner he scored against Ronaldo & Co too."

Barca owe it to FC Basel

When Hans Gamper, a Swiss man decided to move to Barcelona in Spain to start a football club back in 1899, he did so for selfish reasons.

As part of the Camp Nou Experience Stadium tour's audio, Gamper, who later adopted the name Joan Gamper to sound Spanish says: "I played football back in Switzerland, but it wasn't so popular then so I moved to Spain and put an advertisement in the paper calling people to join."

Nine people responded and along with another friend, this 11 formed FC Barcelona. But now, they needed to choose colours. And Camper adds: "When we picked the colours red and blue, people said that it was inspired from the colours of my team in Basel. Only I know the truth." He doesn't reveal the truth but nor does he deny the allegation. And given the FC Basel's jersey is similar to that of Barcelona, it compels one to imagine that the Spanish giants owe it to the Swiss outfit.
