According to a survey, footballers from Merseryside are more likely to represent England. Greater London comes second followed by Durham and Nottinghamshire.

A new survey has revealed that football players born in the Merseyside area of England are more likely to earn a spot in the England squad.

Famous Premier League clubs like Everton and Liverpool are based in the Merseyside area, and according to the survey, one in 58,000 people from the Liverpool area gets a chance to play for England.

Merseyside has produced some of the finest players for England like striker Wayne Rooney and midfielder Steven Gerrard.

Greater London comes second, with one in 92,000 winning fame. David Beckham and Bobby Moore being the best-known examples from the area.

Players born in Durham and Nottinghamshire are next on the list of most likely to play for England.
