Former ACP arrested for rioting in Deonar

Deonar Police have arrested retired ACP Shamsher Khan Pathan on Friday for rioting and obstructing a public servant from performing his duty

Fifteen of his supporters, too, have been arrested under the same charge. The arrests were made after the sessions court rejected their anticipatory bail plea.u00a0

Police said that on Monday at 8.30 pm the accused stopped a vehicle, carrying goats unfit for sacrifice, headed to an NGO. The group created a ruckus and did not allow the trucks to pass. Pathan is also being probed in the Azad Maidan riot case in August.u00a0
