Former England and Chelsea football captain Frank Lampard, 39, has risked kicking off a sexism storm after calling his wife Christine Bleakley and dog Minnie "my two bit***s" in a picture posted on Instagram.

Frank, 39, and Christine, 38, who got married in December 2015, spent their Sunday walking their pooch. He then posted this picture (right) with the controversial caption. "Frank Lampard what are you saying," wrote one angry Twitter user.

Recently, Lampard’s former England teammate, Steven Gerrard was criticised on social media for a sexist remark, when he posted a picture of his little daughters attending to their younger brother, and captioned it: "Looks like his ironing and washing is pretty sorted when he gets older."
