Former Arsenal striker Eduardo has slammed the club for selling striker Robin Van Persie and defensive midfielder Alex Song, who were their two best players from the last season.
Eduardo believes selling Van Persie and Song has reduced Arsenal’s chances of finishing in the top four this season.
“It’s a big mistake to sell them — they were the most important players last season. When you lose two players like that, your chance of finishing in the top four will be less,” The Sun quoted Eduardo, as saying.
“Every year it’s similar — they lose players, buy players, make them class players and the next year they sell again,” he added.
