Four men have been arrested in connection with the murder of an Indian man, who was fatally stabbed by a masked knifeman trying to steal his car.

He had been sitting in the car with a female friend when they were attacked. The man threatened to kill the passenger, in her 20s, if Bhurji didn't hand over his car keys.

Bhurji was left bleeding to death from knife wounds in the road in front of the terrified passenger. The car was found abandoned a few hours later in Chingford.

Bhurji''s sister Rasvinder Johal has now urged the woman who was with her brother to contact them and let them know what had led to his death.

"We don't know who she was. That's the thing we don't know, why he was with her or talking to her when he was stabbed by a six foot two inch attacker," the paper quoted Johal, as saying.

Meanwhile, detective Chief Inspector Phil Rickells, who is leading the murder inquiry, said that the suspect appears to have been purely motivated by stealing the car.

"As far as we can tell, the victim did not know the suspect or why he might want his car," Rickells added.

According to the report, the suspect is described as black, about six feet two inch tall, of slim build and wearing a grey beanie-style hat, grey hoodie and dark-coloured bandana.
