The four Indian boxers are now assured of at least a bronze medal at the event. Manoj Kumar continued his fine form in the light welter weight category as he defeated Armi Khir of Malaysia by virtue of a unanimous decision. He is now pitted against Uranchimegiin Monkh-Erdene of Mongolia.

Meanwhile, Devendro overhauled Uzbek boxer Nodirjon Mirzakhmedov and was declared the unanimous winner. The penultimate round of the light flyweight division will see Devendro take on LV Bin of China.

Thapa was relentless against Kairat Yeraliyev from Kazakhstan and ultimately went on to win on a split decision. In the semi finals, he will take on M Omurbek from Kyrgyzstan. Jangra too won on a split decision against Kosimov Nodirbek of Uzbekistan. The 20-year-old will take on Jargal Otgonjargal Mongolia.u00a0
