Four nabbed for fake DDA flat allotments
Four men, who posed as Delhi Development Authority officers, were arrested here for duping several people of Rs.3.8 crore on the pretext of getting government-built flats allotted to them, police said Monday
Padam Singh, Prem Shankar Sharma, Naveen and Ajay Singh were arrested Sunday from their hideouts across Delhi following a complaint registered by one of the victims who found the documents of an "allotted" flat fake.
Impersonating as DDA officers, the accused lured the victims to pay them an initial amount of money for a promised allotment of flat in west Delhi's Paschim Vihar areas, said Ravinder Yadav, additional commissioner of police. According to the officer, Sharma was involved in at least 17 cases of cheating.
