The accused girl took the victim a friend to the home of one of the young men, where she was forced to drink beer and then sexually assaulted
A female friend has turned out to be a conspirator in the gang rape of a 13-year-old girl. On Thursday evening, four youths and the 16-year-old girl were arrested one after the other from various areas for the heinous crime. According to the Vakola police, the older girl was a friend of the 13-year-old victim and brought her to the house of one of the accused for a birthday party. There, the 13-year-old girl was forced to drink alcoholu00a0and was raped by the youths in front of the older girl. The accused and the victim are neighbours.

Identified as Venkatesh Naidu (20), Melvin Dsouza (22), Sachin Yadav (22) and Bipin Singh (22), the youths have been charged with rape. The 16-year-old girl was in a relationship with Dsouza and she has been charged with conspiracy and common intention of rape. According to the police, Dsouza’s mother would be out for work, the accused would gather at his place every evening. Dsouza and the 16-year-old girl were seen in an intimate position by other friends who then demanded to have sex with her. Fearing rape, the 16-year-old girl promised to bring the victim for the next gathering so that they could have their way with her, say police.
As planned, the 16-year-old girl asked the victim to accompany her for a birthday party on Thursday evening. As soon as the victim reached Dsouza’s house, she was forced to consume beer following which she went into a semi-conscious state. The accused then raped her one by one. Afterwards, the 16-year-old dropped the victim to her house.
“After the victim was dropped to her house, her mother noticed that the girl was bleeding profusely from her private parts and was not able to stand properly. After some time, she revealed everything to her mother. She was taken to V N Desai hospital where she was treated,” said sub inspector Sameer Baravkar of Vakola police station.
The accused will be produced in court today. Yadav is a BTech student in a college in Kandivli, Singh too is a student and the other two work for a private firm. The police have recovered three beer bottles and several cigarettes from the spot. A relative of Yadav said, “The 16-year-old girl is the main accused and because of her all this happened.”u00a0
