Tadphale’s image captures the grind taxi drivers go through.
What: Tadphale was introduced to photography through a camera phone. Enamoured by the city’s rich and vibrant visuals, he worked towards buying his own DSLR. Tadphale has dedicated a Facebook page called Bambaiyya as he started shooting the city since the last two years. Speaking of Taxiwala Mumbaikar, he shares, “Kali peelis are iconic for the city. They are all around us.” He vouches for shooting in the night, a time he prefers but, “Shooting in the night is challenging, which makes me crazy as getting results are difficult.” The series has been shot mainly in Byculla, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Fashion Street and Girgaon.
