We have recently seen actors in films like 3 Idiots and Kai Po Che playing out characters from books.

Talking about this, Divya Dutta tells CS, “I have done films like Train To Pakistan and Shaheed-E-Mohabbat, which were based on novels. It is fun doing a role that has been written down in so much detail.

Few days back, I saw Naseeruddin Shah perform on Ismat Chughtai's short stories recently and I was blown over by his performance. I saw the film The Great Gatsby recently and loved the opening lines said by Amitabh Bachchan. He has really enhanced the impact of the film with his great dialogue delivery.”
