The national selectors and Test skipper Virat Kohli may not have run out of patience with Mumbai's talented cricketer Rohit Sharma. But it seems the India cricket supporter doesn't have anymore patience.

Here's the cricketer's brilliant One-Day International (ODI) record: He has amassed 5,008 runs from 148 matches with 10 hundreds, 28 fifties and a highest of 264.
And here's his Test record: In 18 matches, Rohit Sharma has made 946 runs, at an average of 32.62. And his average in the last 16 matches drops down to 23.5.
Well, the Mumbai lad on Thursday once again got a start only to throw it away at the fag end of the day to be dismissed for 35 at a crucial juncture. Rohit and Ashwin (40) combined for a fighting 52-run stand for the sixth wicket. In an important phase in his Test career, Rohit was expected to fire and he showed some early promise before trying to chip one off Santner over mid-on but was holed out by Sodhi.
Well, Rohit's dismissal led to Twitterati flooding the micro-blogging site with criticism and the belief that it will be difficult for him to retain his place in India's Tests squad.
HERE'S WHAT TWITTERATI HAD TO SAY:

When it was required to see the day off calmly, Rohit Sharma throws his wicket like a kid. RIP Test cricket. #INDvNZ
