In a mind-boggling feat, Delhi's wicketkeeper-batsman Mohit Ahlawat has just become the first cricketer in history to smash an incredible unbeaten 300 off just 72 balls, hitting an unbelievable 39 sixes, in a Twenty20 match at New Delhi's Lalita Park on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old Ahlawat, who has played just three first-class games for Delhi, was playing for Maavi XI against Friends XI in the Friends Premier League. Interestingly, in the three matches he has represented Delhi, he managed just five runs. He made his first-class debut for Delhi against Rajasthan in 2015. He was subsequently dropped in favour of Punit Bisht.

Ahlawat also punished the rival bowlers with 14 fours as his side put on board 416 for two in 20 overs and won the match by 216 runs.
The size of the ground and quality of bowlers though is not known.

Ahlawat was on the grand total of 250 at the end of 18 overs, and completed his triple ton in the next two overs. His last 50 runs saw him milk the opposition's last over for 34 runs when he hit five consecutive sixes off the last five balls of the innings.

The highest score of T20 cricket (excluding club cricket) is with West Indian explosive opener Chris Gayle who slammed an unbeaten 175 runs in an IPL match for Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Sahara Pune Warriors in 2013. In T20 Internationals, the record belongs to Australian opener Aaron Finch, who smashed 156 against England in 2013.
