Samsung Galaxy Nexus
The first smartphone to run Google's Ice Cream Sandwich OS
Android fans are salivating over the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the world's first smartphone to feature Google's brand new mobile operating system Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The Galaxy Nexus features a huge 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720p (1280 720). The handset runs on a fast 1.2GHz dual core processor and provides speedy data connections and transfers with 4G LTE/HSPA+ technology and NFC. The Galaxy Nexus will hit stores in the US, Canada, Europe and Asia in November. The device will be gradually rolled out to additional global markets. Pricing has not been announced.
The world's thinnest 4G LTE smartphone comes with a razor-sharp design
The Motorola Droid Razr is fast, strong and beautiful. The ultra-skinny handset measures in at a tiny 7.1 millimeters and features a sculpted Corning Gorilla Glass face, diamond-cut aluminum accents, a Kevlar fiber back and phone-wide splash-guard coating. Up front, a vibrant 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display renders sharp and vivid images while the back end of the phone is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and Android version 2.3.5. The Droid Razr (also known as the "Razr" in some markets) will be available in North America, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Middle East and Africa starting this November.
A high-speed multimedia DSLR that shoots an impressive 18MP
Canon's flagship DSLR camera, the EOS-1D X, is the "ultimate" professional camera. It sports impressive specs including an 18.1 MP CMOS sensor, full HD video recording, 12 frames per second continuous shooting and a new wireless file transmitter. The Canon EOS-1D X Digital SLR will be available in March, 2012.
Art-inspired Bluetooth headset with NFC for hassle-free bump-to-pair connectivity
The latest Bluetooth headset to come from Nokia is a small, light and colorful gadget called the Nokia Luna. The Luna is a two-piece, monochromatic headset that features NFC (near field communication). The Luna's tiny earpiece weighs in at just 5g and offers 8 hours of talk time (or up to 60 days standby).
A wearable fitness device that's also a lightweight MP3 player
The MotoActv is an iPod-nano-like device made for fitness junkies who don't like to skip a beat. The lightweight, wearable fitness performance tracker features a 1.6" color touchscreen display, programmable workouts, GPS, FM radio and Bluetooth for wireless syncing with your smartphone or wireless headphones. It stores up to 4,000 songs, provides ongoing fitness stats and workout tracking, and is sweat-proof, rain-resistant and scratch-proof. The MotoActv will launch in the US in November and in Latin America and Europe starting in Q1 2012. The device is priced at $249 for the 8GB version and at $299 for the 16GB version.
