Gambhir injury not serious, says India manager

Gautam Gambhir suffered an impact injury. There was an X-ray taken and it showed no fracture. It needs ice treatment and he should be fine, according to the Indian team manager Anirudh Choudhry yesterday. "I am hopeful he will bat tomorrow," he said.

Meanwhile, Ishant Sharma, who was the pick of the Indian bowlers yesterday, said in a lighter vein that Gambhir will bat if required. Ishant attributed his success to Zaheer Khan who advised him to cope with the Lord's slope. "This is my first Test here and Zak helped me with this," he said.
