It's official: Jon Snow is back to the land of living on 'Game of Thrones'

'Game of Thrones' has become the show that incites the most speculation and musings from the fans throughout the world, exhibit-A for that is the death of Jon Snow. This particular death had led to widespread disbelief and horror, and grapevine was rife with theories speculating on his return, and return he did.

Kit Harington as Jon Snow in 'Game Of Thrones'

The season 6 of 'Game of Thrones', which is just two episodes old, has been fraught with mystery, intrigue and revelations. The 2nd episode 'Home' that will air on May 3rd on Star World Premiere in India had the biggest reveal yet, the much awaited and anticipated return of Jon Snow. Melisandre, through the use of an incantation, resuscitated the late (now living) Lord Commander of the Night's Watch.

Kit Harington, who plays the much beloved character on the show finally broke his silence and said, "Sorry". Kit Harrington also talked about the pressure of keeping the biggest secret of the show. He was required to act not only onscreen but off-screen as well, the role of an actor whose part in the show has ended.

"I'd like to say sorry for lying to everyone," Kit Harington said in a candid interview with Entertainment Weekly. "I'm glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, 'Fine, Jon Snow's dead.' But it seems like people had a, similar to the Red Wedding episode, kind of grief about it. Which means something I'm doing — or the show is doing — is right."

The return of Jon Snow was predicted by a host of fans and his return was imminent, however in the back of people's mind was the thought that, 'what if he doesn't?' The charade by the show makers and the actors in it was so good that many had already started believing that Snow is gone for good. The second episode thus comes as a welcome surprise to them. This episode has now raised the bars of expectation even further, and it remains to be seen what other benders the show throws at its viewers.
