The Goa SSC exam result 2014 will be declared by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE), the main education board of Goa.

As per the Press Note issued by the Goa Board, the result will be declared today at 4:30 PM and the Passing certificate cum statement of Grade/Marks of S.S.C. examination will be distributed on 26th May, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM. On the same Press Note, the instructions were given on collection of the Passing certificate along with details of the centres where the Passing certificate cum statement of Grade/Marks of S.S.C. examination will be available.
About Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE)
On 27th May, 1975 GBSHSE (Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education) was setup as per the The Goa Daman & Diu Secondary & Higher Secondary Education Board Act 1975. Similar to other school boards, the main aim of the GBSHSE is to provide secondary and higher secondary education to all the students in Goa. To achieve this aim, the board grants recognition to various number of shools in Goa. To ensure economic and social developemnt, it ensures that improvement of the secondary and higher secondary eduation is done at the most optimum levels. For uplifting the socially and educationally backward communities, the board ensures of providing adequate facilities. One of the aims of board is also to take such steps and such measures as may lead to intellectual, academic, physical and cultural development of the youth.
As the main school board for Goa, the GBSHSE performs various functions like grant and withdraw recognition to the Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools, advise the government on matters of policy relating to secondary and higher secondary education in general and other matters, lay down guiding principles regarding curricula and syllabi for the entire secondary and higher secondary courses and to prepare the detailed syllabi for all standards of secondary and higher secondary education, advise the Government in standard requirement in respect of staff, buildings, furniture, equipment, stationery and other amenities required for secondary and higher secondary schools, prescribe and prepare text-books for all standards of secondary and higher secondary education, prescribe conditions for admission of regular and private candidates to the final examinations and declare the results of the candidates at the final examinations conducted by it
