Let's face it, we geeks hate ties. We would rather be caught dead without one. But most of the time, we don't have a choice and are forced to wear one. Fortunately, we are only told 'wear a tie' and not 'wear a plain tie with absolutely nothing on it' and this means that we can always experiment.
