Girisha won the medal in the men’s high jump F42 event clearing 1.74 metres on Monday.
The paralympian, who belongs to Karnataka, has an impairment in his left leg. He will also be offered a job at the Sports Authority of India, Sports Minister Ajay Maken said yesterday. Maken had earlier also announced a reward of R30 lakh for Girisha.
“Paralympic silver medallist Nagaraj to be offered a job of coach in Sports Authority of India at an officer level!,” Maken wrote on his twitter page.
