Aspiring college music bands can showcase their talent by participating in NCPA's music contest. If you win, you will get an opportunity to become part of the One World Many Musics annual festival, slated to take place next month
The annual One World Many Musics festival has featured musical youth icons such as Indian Ocean, Midival Punditz and Shri among others. This year, the festival will include performances by Shubha Mudgal (vocals), Sudhir Nayak (harmonium), Murad Ali (sarangi), Benoni Soans (drums), Aneesh Pradhan (tabla), Tony Dias (keyboards), Bertie D’silva (bass) and Pratap Rath (percussion).
Sharing the platform with the seasoned performers will be some of the youngsters who took part and won the One World Many Musics — Band Baja Contest. To take part in contest, participating bands need to interpret the theme of One World Many Musics in their own musical style.

The contest is only open to students and they have to produce valid college ID cards to enter the contest. The band can have a maximum of eight members and entries must include a brief CV of the band and an audio sample not more than 5 minutes long.
Since today is the last day for submission of entries, young college bands should hurry to make sure they send their entries and winners will get to be part of the festival, which will be held on January 11.
