Film: 6 pm to 8 pm Catch animated short films by the Canadian director, Norman McLaren (1914-1987) at a screening hosted by Artisans’ in association with the Consulate General of Canada. Known for drawing images by hand on film and pioneering the pixilation technique (a stop-motion effect created using live actors), McLaren won the Academy Award for Neighbours (1952). Also, watch acclaimed work  by Ishu Patel, who studied under McLaren.
