London: Sachin Tendulkar who led the MCC XI in an exhibition one-dayer against a World XI side as part of the MCC's bi-centenary celebrations here on Saturday, hopes the young Indian team led by MS Dhoni will live up to its potential in the five-Test series beginning Wednesday.

"The Indian team is young and they have a good chance of showcasing their potential," Tendulkar said. "I heard from Rahul Dravid that the team is practising hard, so let's hope they do well in the series," he added.

Talking about the series, Tendulkar observed: "It will be a decent contest between both teams. Both sides are young, so the contest should be fantastic. It will be lovely to watch."
