But, the MNS, which gained notoriety for its attacks on north Indians, was absolutely silent when terrorists held the city at gunpoint on November 26.u00a0 Where was Raj Thackeray then?
Raj clearly has no solutions to problems faced by India. And creating a divide between India and Pakistan is not going to help us win this war against terror.
It's time that India and Pakistan come together to solve this problem. Within the Pakistani army there are a few black sheep who want the two nations to be at war. But, military confrontation will do no good to our neighbours or us.u00a0
It is imperative that India as a bigger power should set the tone for the peace process and interaction with the Pakistani government. Only then, will we be able to live in peace.
Attacking Pakistan or breaking all ties with them will prove to be a hasty decision. Rooting out terrorism will require the joint efforts of both the countries. India has to take a firm and reasonable stand to emerge victorious in this conflict against the evil

Raj's anti-north Indian tirade did no good to the city. Among the commandos that rescued Mumbai from the terrorists, many hailed from north India. And Raj had nothing to say then. In fact, at a time when Mumbai was in crisis he disappeared from the scene.
Raj should realise that spreading hatred even if it is against the Pakistanis will not get us anywhere. As far as the Mumbai terror attacks are concerned, it is best if he does not interfere. Such goonda 'Raj' is pointless.
