Techno freak
Technology has always fascinated me. Actually, I come from a middle class family and we couldn't really afford to buy all the fancy gizmos that would come in the market. In fact, we became the proud owners of a colour television and a VCD quite late in life. As a result, I grew up to be fascinated with gadgets in general.
I remember my dad telling me about escalators. I was enthralled by the idea of steps going up and down. I went with him to the Air India building to check out how it works. As late as 1995, there were only three escalators in Mumbaiu00a0-- one in the Air India building, one in the World Trade Centre and one in the shopping arcade in Oberoi Hotel.
All that money can buy
Once I started earning, I started investing in gadgets and today own quite a lot of them. My most prized possession is my home theatre as it really is state-of-the-art. But what many don't know is that I have a fetish for medical innovations too. I have to buy the latest thermometers available in the market. The newest addition being a sensory thermometer that you have to insert in your ear and you get the result in four seconds flat!

Kindle is a gadget on which you can download reading material. It allows you to change pages and bookmark like you would physically. Since I read a lot, this is extremely useful. Now I don't have to carry all my thick novels with me on my travels. I just download the book on my Kindle. I even download important documents and read them at my will.

Recently, I bought a Blackberry 9700 model. Next on my wishlist is an iPad as it is a one-up on the Kindle!
