Mumbai seems to be on a health food spree with a new home chef popping up in every corner of the city, every month. One such enterprise that caught our eye is Get Baked.

Conceptualised by cousins Sinhaar Rodrigues and Daniel Braganza, while on a weekend hike, they offer two variants of granola (which they call Crunch Rocks) and cookies (which contain eggs).

Braganza tells us that the recipes have been conceptualised by his aunt Prema Rodrigues, who also runs Prema's Kitchen, that supplies caramel custard and chocolate mousse to Café Mondegar, Café Leopold and Café Churchill.

“We add a whole lot of seeds like chia seeds and pumpkin seeds to our Crunch Rocks to provide more roughage to one's diet.

Our cookies don't use maida or refined sugar but oats flour, almond flour, whole wheat flour and organic brown sugar,” says Braganza. They plan to soon add more variants of their cookies and granola including gluten-free and butter-less options.

They deliver across the city within three working days.

The review
Our favourites from Get Baked's products were their cookies. The Chocolate Chip cookies were sinful and we had to stop ourselves after having a single cookie or it wouldn't be so healthy anymore, with all the chocolate in it. The non-chocolate lovers in our team favoured the Cranberry Almond option with equal brownie points.

Get Bakeds Crunch Rocks
Get Baked's Crunch Rocks come with the goodness of chia seeds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds in addition to dryfruits

For our Crunch Rocks, we tried the maple-flavoured version that was packed with bits of cranberry, and had a good salty tinge, overall. However, because of our weakness for chocolate, we veered towards the Dark Chocolate variant that had a fantastic crunch to it, with several seeds added to the cereal.

Cost: Rs 450 to Rs 500 for 450 gm for granola; cookies cost Rs 200 for five
