Even Hachiko, the Mansingh Jadhav-trained four-year-old who struck incredible form to reel off three races in a row at Mumbai over the trip of seven and eight furlongs, has jumped into the fray though the trip of six furlongs is a little too sharp for his running style. However, I will not be surprised if Hachiko pulls off a surprise victory on the strength of his sheer class.
In the supporting event, the Elegance Trophy, Dallas Todywalla-trained Falco Nero is a bettable proposition, while another Todywalla ward, La Traviata, appeals as a good bet in the upper division of the Victoria Falls Plate despite a crowded field of 22 runners.
