The website of the Government Law College in Mumbai was allegedly hacked by Pakistani hackers on Indian websites in response to the surgical strikes in Pakistan by the Indian Army earlier this month.

the Churchgate based institute's website was found to be hacked on Monday evening. The hackers left a message on the home page which claimed the hack to be the handwork of a group calling itself 'PakCyberPirates'. "To all Indians out there....surgical strike...." the message said.

According to The Hindu, several students who logged on to the site were directed to the homepage which was hacked by group calling itself 'PakCyberPyrates'. A message reading 'National Securities Depository Limited...OOPSS.. To all Indians out there..surgical strike...lolx..hahahahaha!!!' appeared on the homepage.

A student then informed the principal Ajay Nathani at around 6 pm on Monday. The college gave a written complaint to the Marine Lines Police Station late in the evening and tried to restore the page too. "Once the students informed us, we restored the page in the evening. But within minutes the miscreants manage to hack it again. We are trying to fix the problem. We have our internal data secured. But they have defaced the site. The police will lodge a complaint with the cyber cell," said Nathani as quoted by The Hindu.
