Hockenheim: Lewis Hamilton will not be handing out any presents to newly-wed title rival and Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg in the latter’s home German GP.

“I said that? I don’t remember that,” Hamilton asked, clearly surprised when reminded by a reporter that he had said he would be handing Rosberg a special wedding present.
“I can’t remember saying it but maybe at the time I had an idea but it’s gone,” he said before adding that he wouldn’t be giving Rosberg any presents on track. “No presents, unfortunately, no.”
Hamilton and Rosberg, who married longtime sweetheart Vivian Sibold in the week following the British GP, are locked in a close fight for the title in a season dominated by the Mercedes drivers.
The two shared a friendship going back to their karting days, but have drifted apart as their title fight has become more and more intense.
Rosberg currently heads the standings by four points, but Hamilton will move into the lead if he beats the German this weekend.
