Happy 33rd Birthday, Tinkle!

The magazine that made learning fun for most of India’s children, will celebrate its over three decade run with a collector’s edition of 112 pages that will release on Children’s Day (November 14). In the exhaustive issue, Tinkle will pay tribute to the artists and writers who have been a part of its journey.

“The tribute section will be called the 3-bute Special. Within the pages you will find 3-butes to Tinkle’s iconic writers and artists, Tinkle Toons, famous authors and our readers. So, through this, we will explore the people who invented popular Tinkle Toons, like Suppandi, Shambu and Kalia the Crow, whether through the wit of Subba Rao and Luis Fernandes or the strokes of Ram Waeerkar and VB Halbe. As a plus, we are re-printing some of their most popular stories from our Classics Collection,” says Tinkle’s editor Rajani Thindiath.

One of the 3-butes will also be dedicated to Uncle Pai (Anant Pai, founder-editor of Tinkle) with a story based on his life while the Tinkle Spotlight has a special interview with Subba Rao, one of the founders of Tinkle.A specially designed cover and free book labels, featuring Tinkle Toons, wrap up this special edition.
