Confusion over the eleventh player of the Mumbai franchise in the Indian Badminton League has been put to rest. Local-lad Harsheel Dani was officially signed by the Mumbai Masters yesterday.
Earlier, there were reports that West Bengal shuttler Rituparna Das is the U-19 player in the team. But with the organisers tweaking the terms and reinstating the catchment area clause, Mumbai chose to go in with Dani.
An owner of the Mumbai franchise, Vankina Chamundeswara Nath confirmed the development saying, “It is untrue that we signed in Rituparna. It’s Harsheel whom we have signed in.”
